The Plymouth Ironworks were spread over three sites, with the Pentrebach
Forges and mills located in this area. The path on the was created to
provide another link into the community and local store.
The construction of the cycle path involved site clearance, excavation,
laying concrete edgings and sub base with Tarmacadam surface.
Kissing gates and ‘A’ frame barriers have been placed along the entire
trail to discourage the use of motor bikes whilst allowing access for
cyclists, horses and disabled users.
